Forever and Ever Thankful

This has certainly been a Thanksgiving I will not soon forget. It’s not every year you sit around a hospital waiting room picking at the food people have so graciously taken time from their own Thanksgiving to prepare for you. I have not run short of things to be thankful for. There are so many little blessings that have ensured that we got my safely to the hospital and in good care. I can’t even think of all of them.

I could write a novel listing all of things I’m thankful for in all of this, but it comes down to this: there isn’t a word big enough or deep enough to fully express how truly thankful and grateful I am to everyone for everything they have done. I’m completely overwhelmed and truly humbled at the outpouring of love and support everyone has given to my family.

We had most of the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal including turkey. So while it was a little unconventional, we still managed to have a Thanksgiving buffet in the waiting room. We mostly munched here and there, but none the less there is almost no pasta left and there were only two pieces of pie, last time I checked.

Once again thank you, thank you, thank you so much for everything.  God has been so good to us. We have a long road ahead of us as we help him recover, and we will continue to need all the love, prayer and support we can get. We love you all dearly. I wish you all the very best and hope your Thanksgivings were full of thanks. God bless!
